Hello, and welcome to another wonderful year in the school of pharmacy! This year I am thrilled to be WAPSA president! I am a third-year bachelor student at Curtin University, and I have spent my degree having the biggest adventure possible. Pharmacy is an incredible profession to be a part of, and I would like to encourage everyone to make the most of all opportunities that come their way! I basically live, breathe, eat, sleep pharmacy, so youll often find me in the WAPSA room or roaming the floors of the pharmacy building at Curtin. Please feel free to come up and say hi/have a conversation – I love any excuse to talk about the profession! XOXO Prez

This is my first time being on the WAPSA committee but since I’m also a fourth year student, I just thought I’ll finish my last year with a bang! Feel free to email or approach me, I promise I don’t bite! Email: email@example.com

Rural & Indigenous
Hello! My name is Amy Owen, I’m a 4th year student and the 2017 Rural and Indigenous Chair for the WAPSA committee. This year I’ll be looking for new ways to promote rural and indigenous health. Currently I’m looking at organising fun volunteering trips to some remote WA locations and continuing with the annual John Curtin Weekend (JCW) adventure. Fun fact about me: I am originally a rural Darwin (NT) girl and moved to Perth when I was 18, so do know a little about the importance of rural health services in the community!

Hi everyone! I’m Amy and I’ll be your 1st year rep! I’m super excited to be on the committee and can’t wait to meet all the pharmacy students from Curtin and UWA! I did my undergraduate degree in Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, but decided that I didn’t want to be stuck in a lab for the rest of my life! WapSA(-p) my fellow pharmacy students,
I’m Deb and I’ll be your first-year representative for 2017.
I am currently studying the Masters of Pharmacy at UWA. I was driven to study pharmacy after working as a pharmacy assistant since the age of 17, and I became inspired by the exceptional pharmacists I have had the pleasure of working alongside during this time. I desire to start a career in the community pharmacy setting upon completion of my pharmacy studies, where I feel most passionate in.
I am really excited to represent the committee this year and take part in organising and promoting the WAPSA events for you all to partake in. These events will comprise of both social and academic opportunities to enable you to network with many pharmacy students and pharmacists across the state and nationally who will sometime soon, become your colleagues!
Don’t be afraid to holla at me if you need anything, whether that be advice relating to pharmacy studies or a comforting and meaningful chat (this may or may not stem from the Italian in me ;)
