Pharmacy Cricket is an initiative of the pharmacists of Australia to promote cricket matches and cricket dinners and to provide scholarships to pharmacy students to assist with their pharmacy course.
Pharmacy Cricket attracts pharmacy students, recent graduates, and pharmacist's young and the not so young. The games are played in a friendly but competitive spirit at the best grounds with qualified umpires. A trophy is provided for each match. A cricket kit is provided and new balls used for each match. A player of the match award is often presented and for special games a best batting and a best bowling award is given. Caps in the colours of a particular team or state are presented to each new player at the start of their match.
